About the Project

The Avenue Riyadh is a 50,000 m² commercial and hospitality development in Riyadh, delivered for Shomoul. The Landscape Company was engaged for the hardscape phase of the project, with a scope centred on paving installation across the site. Completed within a six-month duration, the project reflects the scale of coordination required when paving forms the primary ground surface for a development of this size.

Our Scope of Work

Our scope at The Avenue Riyadh was focused on paving installation across the 50,000 m² site. This covered the execution of the paved surfaces that make up the development’s ground plane, carried out in line with the project’s design and completed within the six-month timeframe. Rather than spanning multiple disciplines, our involvement was concentrated on getting this hardscape execution right at scale.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the main challenges on this project involved the design and dimensions of the paving itself, where accuracy across a large site becomes harder to maintain the bigger the footprint. To manage this, we assigned a professional draughtsman to the project and paired this with close site supervision throughout the installation, ensuring the paving design was executed correctly on the ground from start to finish.

Key Features of the Project

The paving works at The Avenue Riyadh made use of paving, tile adhesive grout (TAG), and mortar bed as the core materials for installation. Together, these formed the basis of the hardscape execution across the site.
